Turn the ignition switch to its "ON" position or start the engine. Enter your valet code on the PlainView switch, then return it to its centre position. You now have 5 seconds to press the latched position to enter valet mode. The system LED will glow continually for on-going visual confirmation of valet mode. 10 To exit valet mode 1. Turn the ignition switch to its "ON" position or start the engine. Flick the switch back to its centre position. The LED will turn off to confirm that the system is now in its normal operating mode. Setting your own secret valet code Since all Concept 50 systems have the same factory-set code, it is highly advisable that you set your own valet code. You may choose any 1-, 2-, or 3-digit code that does not have any zeros. You can also change the code whenever you want. Write down the 1-to-3 digit code you wish to use (remember, no zeros in the code). Turn your vehicle's ignition switch to its "ON" position. Enter your current valet code (if setting a new code for the first time, enter the factory-set code of "2" by tapping the momentary side of the switch twice, then pressing the latched side). When the LED turns on, immediately tap and release the momentary side of the switch 6 times (after the first three taps, you will hear a single chirp confirmation each time you tap the momentary side -- in this case for a total of 3 chirps). Immediately after the 3rd chirp, press the latched side, then enter your new code. You'll hear the same number of chirps as each digit of your code each time you press the latched side. When done, return the switch to its centre position. Wait until you hear 2 chirps and see the LED turn off, then turn the ignition off. VERY IMPORTANT: You must test your new valet code. Wait at least 10 seconds, then turn on the ignition and re-enter your new code. Return the switch to its centre position. [. . . ] The system comes from the factory with all of its features pre-programmed as noted in the table that follows. To change any of the settings, use the procedure noted. To restore the feature to its factory setting, just repeat the procedure. How to program user-selectable features 1. [. . . ]
