[. . . ] 2 Fast Forward Button (Tape) Rewind Button (Tape) Play Button (Tape) Record Button (Tape) Previous/Fast Backward Button (CD) Stop Button (CD) Speaker Cassette Door FM Stereo Indicator LED Display Tuning Dial AC Socket Headphone Jack Battery Compartment Operation ­ Set the Function Switch to the "RADIO" position. ­ Select the desired radio frequency band with the Band Switch. ­ Rotate the Tuning Dial to set the Tuning Indicator to the station frequency as marked on the tuning scale. ­ Adjust the Volume Knob to the desired level. To turn off the radio, set the Function Switch to the "TAPE" position without the Play Button pressed. 3 Antenna For FM stations, extend the Telescopic Antenna to full length, adjust the angle and direction for the best reception. You may have to orientate the set to obtain the clearest reception. CASSETTE RECORDER OPERATION ­ Stop/Eject Button: During operation, press to stop all deck operation. ­ Fast Forward Button/Rewind Button: Press to fast forward or rewind. ­ Play Button: Press to start playback. ­ Pause Button: Press to stop tape operation temporarily. Press again to resume the tape operation. ­ Record Button: Press together with Play Key to start recording. The display will show the total number of tracks on the disc. Do not swing or shock the unit when playing CD, otherwise it may not function properly. 4 5 General Operation Play/Pause Button Press once to start playback. The indicator on the right will turn on. Press again to stop playing the disc REPEAT temporarily. The indicator on the right ALL PLAY will flash. Press once more to resume ONE PAUSE playback. The total number of tracks will be shown. Next/Fast Forward Button Press and release to go to the next track. Press and hold to fast forward the current track. Previous/Fast Backward Button Press and release to go back to the beginning of the current track. Press twice to go back to the previous track. [. . . ] This feature does not work for "Rewind" or "Fast Forward", and the Stop Button must be pressed when the cassette spools (visible through the window) stop turning. Automatic Level Control (ALC) This unit has built-in ALC circuitry, which automatically adjusts the optimum recording level. MAINTENANCE & CARE 1. Check your batteries regularly, old or dead batteries should be replaced. If the unit is not going to be used for a long time or is being run exclusively on AC power, remove the batteries to avoid leakage and damage. [. . . ]
