The SCS-IV series microprocessor based charge controllers incorporate a breakthrough in design with advanced pulse-width-modulation (PWM) battery charging operation. [. . . ] The Solar Commander Series IV-PV system charge controller is for 12 volt solar electric systems rated up to 24 amps charging and intended primarily for RV applications, as well as remote homes or cabins, house boats, campground & recreation facilities. The attractive faceplate features four system status LED's and a built-in LCD digital system monitor which accurately monitors battery voltage and push button displays PV current. A reverse polarity protection circuit features a reverse polarity red LED for PV or battery, ensuring proper hook up. Other Solar Commander models; (all 12V-24 amp with standard specs) SCS-IV-L, includes a load management-low voltage disconnect (LVD) circuit, prevents battery over-discharge from operation of loads during extended overcast periods.
