[. . . ] 7032A Pre-Construction Wall Mount Kit: PMK-9L · 3 Crestron PMK-9L Pre-Construction Wall Mount Kit Complete the following procedure to mount the PMK-9L. Using the level, attach the PMK-9L to the left or right side of the stud using drywall screws or nails (not included). If mounting to the left side of a stud, the PMK-9L must be turned over so the extended edge of the attached mounting plate is on the right side. Make sure the mounting kit is attached to the center of the stud. Refer to the illustration below. Mounting the PMK-9L PMK-9L (4511743) NOTE: Be sure the plate is level when mounted 2. 3. Note the position of the PMK-9L and hang drywall over the plate. The opening for the touchpanel is to be made after the drywall is hung. After drywall is positioned, a rectangular opening must be made. Position the opening to expose the #04-40 tapped holes along the top and bottom of the plate. NOTE: Cut the drywall along the inside edge of the front of the mounting plate. The labels on the front of the mounting plate indicate the perimeter of the opening that should be cut out. Refer to the NOTE in the illustration above. 4 · Pre-Construction Wall Mount Kit: PMK-9L Installation Guide ­ DOC. 7032A Crestron PMK-9L Pre-Construction Wall Mount Kit Mounted View with Cover Plate (Mounting Example Prior to Drywall Installation) Stud PMK-9L (4511743) must be level before application of drywall Drywall Screws (4) #04-40 x 1 1/2" (2007190) Cover plate (2028251) to cover cutout in drywall before touchpanel is installed (may be required by local building codes) NOTE: Mounting plate is to be covered with drywall and then the cutout made around the inside of the opening. Be sure to leave the four tapped holes on the plate exposed to accept the mounting screws. NOTE: The four tapped holes on the front of the mounting plate must be exposed to accept the touchpanel mounting screws. The holes are found beneath the drywall just outside the four corners of the opening made by cutting out the drywall. Refer to the NOTE in the illustration above. Touchpanel Installation Complete the installation by either installing the touchpanel, leaving the hole open (if permitted by local building codes) or installing the optional cover plate with the included #04-40 x 1 1/2" screws. CRESTRON reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to charge a 15% restocking fee plus shipping costs on any products returned with an RMA. Return freight charges following repair of items under warranty shall be paid by CRESTRON, shipping by standard ground carrier.
