3. Secure the Mounting Flange to the structural part of the ceiling. Due to various ceiling constructions,  the installer must provide the pipe and its supporting hardware. Secure a 1-1/2" NPT pipe (not included) into the Mounting Flange. Screw a #10 self-drilling screw into the threaded pipe through the existing hole in the Mounting Flange to prevent removal of the pipe.
