Any object between the remote control and VCP will block the path of beam when it is being used. Dark walls, direct sunshine or very bright (incandescent) light will reduce the remote control sensitivity. When the remote control is vertical to the remote Sensor, it will work within about 23 feet (7m) from the VCP. Remove the battery cover on the reverse side of the remote control. Install 2 batteries ("AAA" size) into the remote control. [. . . ] When inserting the PAL tape, it will playback the PAL signal. When inserting the NTSC tape, it will playback the NTSC signal on PAL TV.
