The pots feature a solid carbon glide that gives you a more accurate taper for better signal response and smoother performance. Add to that the "Bumble Bee" capacitors that we've commissioned for the historic line and you have the most accurate reproduction parts available anywhere. Using the thinner material allows the pieces to form to the contour of the body much better. We also silkscreen "Rhythm" and "Treble" on the switchwasher,  just like we used to. Despite first impressions,  not all carves are alike. The top carve on Historic Les Pauls is flat on top with a shallow dish to reflect the subtle contours.
