Active charcoal filters are available from your Miele Dealer or the Miele Spare Parts Department. Door seal Do not use any oils or grease on the door seal as these will cause the seal to deteriorate and become porous over time. The door seal should be cleaned regularly with clean water and then wiped dry with a soft cloth. ^ Turn the filter 90° clockwise or anti-clockwise. ^ Insert a new filter with the handle in the vertical position. ^ Turn the filter 90° clockwise or anti-clockwise until it clicks into position. Metal grille at the back of the appliance The metal grille at the back of the appliance (heat exchanger) should be dusted at least once a year. A build-up of dust will increase the energy consumption of the appliance. When cleaning the grille, make sure that the pipework and other components do not get broken or damaged in any way.
