The wall socket and extension cable must support 16A and must be efficiently earthed. [. . . ] Some parts of the board, especially those next 6 to the ironing surface, become very hot. The iron's steam generator must be filled only after having unplugged the board from the power socket. Never expose the appliance to the elements (rain, sun, etc. ). The closed board may not be perfectly stable if placed vertically. To store it vertically, it should be rested against a wall. In models with a single button, the ironing board cover reflects the heat with metal fibres which distribute the heat of the iron across the board. In the model with double button, the ironing board cover has a heat resistant strip where you can rest the iron while ironing (fig. 5). OPENING THE BOARD (FIG. 1, 2) Hold the front leg of the board in place on the floor with your foot, press the board release lever and at the same time rotate the board until you reach the desired height. Once the board is at the right height, release the lever. Before letting go of the board, release the lever and make sure the pin is securely lodged in one of the positions provided. When the board is completely open, remove your foot from the leg of the board. Once open, the board can be easily moved (fig. [. . . ] Switch the iron or ironing system on, following the manufacturer's instructions. When the iron is ready, you can start ironing.
