To get the very best out of yuor new fan heater it is advisable to read these instructions before using it. [. . . ] The thermostat will now automatically maintain the temperature at the desired level. - Anti-freeze function With the knob of the thermostat in position , the appliance maintains the room at a temperature of about 5°C, thus preventing freezing with a minimal expenditure of energy. 2 - Switching the heater off: turn the knob fully counter-clockwise to the "O" position. To direct the air flow in the required direction, tilt the appliance manually to one of the two available positions, 1 or 2 (see fig. 2/3). MAINTENANCE - Always unplug the appliance before cleaning the heater. - During the season when the appliance is in use, clean the air intake and outlet grille regularly. - Do not use abrasive cleaning products or solvents. WARNINGS - Do not use the heater in the immediate surrondings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool. - Always use the heater in an upright position. - Do not use the heater to dry your laundry. Never obstruct the intake and outlet grilles (danger of overheating). - Do not positon the heater in close proximity to curtains or other combustible materials. - The heater must be positioned at least 50 cm from furniture or other objects. - The use of extension leads is not reccomended, however if it is necessary then follow carefully the extension lead's instructions, and most importantly ensure that the extension lead is correctly rated in accordance with the heater being used and NEVER overloaded. - When the appliance is used in portable version, do not place it up against walls, furniture, curtains, etc. - The appliance must be installed so that the switches and other controls can not be reached by persons using the bath tub or the shower. - This appliance comes with a Y-type connection.
