Position the residue container in the machine body, then insert the filter unit ensuring it is well seated. Attach the lid, then hook the two levers onto the lid and lock them by pushing inwards. The appliance is equipped with a safety device preventing the machine from operating if the lid is not properly attached. Do not use this device as an on-off switch. Then place the feeder press in its specially shaped aperture. Prepare the vegetables and/or fruit for processing by taking the pits out of cherries, apricots, peaches, plums etc. , and peeling citrus fruits , watermelons , pineapples , kiwis etc. Then cut into small pieces and place in the food holder. 2) Push the pieces down through the opening with the feeder press, exerting a light pressure.
