Position the fire so that the plug socket is accessible. Always ensure there is sufficient airflow around the appliance otherwise the operation of the appliance will be compromised. Installation in a niche The ideal installation is built-in in a niche with the following dimensions 430x600x76 mm (fig. 1) placed on the floor and hooked to the supplied bracket fig. 2. Fix the bracket following carefully the dimensions in fig. Mark the position for fixing the bracket to the wall. Drill the wall for the dowels and insert them. Then insert in the holes the two screws supplied. Note: when the installation is complete, check the appliance is correctly mounted to the wall by pulling it outwards. Wall Installation If you wish to mount the appliance to the wall after having hooked the appliance as previously described, insert the lower bracket into the bottom of the base as shown in fig. 2 Placing the pebbles Once the appliance is placed in your chosen location, unpack the pebbles from the accessory box and arrange inside the appliance on the pebble bed shelf. Arrange the pebbles as you wish using as many as you require. We suggest spreading the smaller ones across the shelf as a base. The large pebbles should then be placed on top with the medium ones used to fill any gaps where light could escape. OPERATING THE APPLIANCE Controls The flame effect switch is located on the top left hand side of the appliance. Pushed in, it will illuminate the fire with no heat, so that you may enjoy the flame effect all year round. Pushed again the switch will return to its outer position and turn the fire off. To use the heating element (the heater element is under the hood), press both buttons. The heater is 2 kW and is thermostatically controlled. Heat Levels Model SFR3140.
