[. . . ] You should therefore take maximum care when using the appliance. - Do not remove the tank or move the appliance while in operation. Always wait at least 15 minutes after turning off and unplugging from the mains. - Never use the humidifier without water. [. . . ] - Before use, always check that the power cable is undamaged. - Excessive humidity in the room may lead to the formation of condensation on windows and furniture. If this occurs, turn the humidifier off ; - Do not use the humidifier with humidity of more than 50%. The manufacturer reserves the right to modify products at its discretion if considered appropriate for legal, industrial, commercial or aesthetic reasons. KEEP THIS BOOKLET IN A SAFE PLACE FOR FUTURE CONSULTATION. 6 BEFORE USE Before use, make sure the appliance is not damaged, dented etc. and that water does not leak from the casing. Have the appliance checked by an authorised technical service centre. Make sure the power cable does not come into contact with hot parts of the appliance while in use. The heater must always be used on a horizontal surface. Do not rest on furniture, plate glass, carpet or parquet. IMPORTANT: do not turn the appliance upside down or move while in operation. When the appliance contains water, move by holding it at the bottom only. Always unplug from the mains socket first. Before putting the appliance away, make sure it is cold. Do not pour alcoholic products or perfumes into the tank. Do not aim the mist at people, objects or walls. Before filling the tank, empty any mineral residues or sludge present. Unplug from the socket before filling or emptying the tank. - If the cover of the heating unit (D) is damp, it is vital to dry it before plugging the appliance into the mains. - Turn the heating unit anticlockwise as far as it will go. (The arrow on the heating unit should line up with the I symbol on the tank). - To turn the appliance off, unplug from the mains socket, then turn the heating unit clockwise until the arrow lines up with the O symbol. - In models with night light, when the appliance is on, the light also comes in. - After a few minutes, mist is given off. [. . . ] · To proceed with regeneration, unplug the appliance from the socket and remove the heating unit (D). Immerse the END ONLY for about 8 cm (fig. 7) in a solution of water and vinegar or a commercially available descaling solution and leave to work for about 10 hours. After this period, rinse the end section of the heating unit with water, taking care not to wet the top part. [. . . ]
