High-speed processing: This Sil504 Progressive Converter is capable of processing 6 billion operations per second, providing the finest in motion-adaptive de-interlacing. Moving picture detection: PureProgressiveTM features 2:3 pulldown detection, which converts 24-fps Film based material to 60-fps TV/Video playback, while also detecting Video based material, animation and graphics. PureProgressiveTM is capable of reproducing DVD-Video discs containing both Film and Video material, as well as high picture quality progressive video sources, while avoiding the flickering caused by detection delays of these different formats. [. . . ] 24-bit, 96-kHz Audio D/A Converter The DVD-2800MK2 uses a highly accurate multi-bit Sigma Delta D/A converter with superior dynamic range and S/N characteristics. This converter provides plenty of support for the demanding 24-bit, 96-kHz sampling signals of the DVD-Video format. The incorporation of a differential circuit in the output stage and capacitors specially selected for further improved sound also ensure that the D/A converter gives you playback sound of the highest quality possible, the normal expectation from Denon's acclaimed digital technology. The DVD-2800MK2's rigid chassis is constructed of a 15-mm thick front panel, a 1. 6-mm thick drive mechanism, and a 1-mm thick top cover, 1. 2-mm thick main chassis to thoroughly suppress internal and external vibration and preserve signal integrity. The disc loader features a special hybrid construction of molded plastic and metal that further absorbs vibration for completely stable disc playback. Double-speed Drive System The DVD-2800MK2 employs a 2x drive system that drives at 4x when the loaded disc is a CD. This unit is also equipped with a 4 MB buffer memory to ensure that both picture and sound are played without interruption when the DVD disc shifts from layer 1 to layer 2, or in the rare event of a pickup dropout.
