The alarm will sound as long as the pin is left out, until the battery is exhausted. Switching the light on and off o Press the button I to switch on the light O. The light will shine for as long as you keep the button pressed. Attaching the belt clip o Screw the fixing screw R clockwise approx. o Push the belt clip T over the head of the fixing screw. o Now tighten the fixing screw into the housing back. Attaching the key ring o Insert the fixing screw R through the eye at the end of the chain U. o Screw the fixing screw clockwise tightly into the housing back { . Note: If you do not wish to attach either the belt clip or the keyring, screw the fixing screw into the housing back so as to prevent moisture and dirt from getting into the alarm. Changing the battery From time to time you should check the charge state of the battery by briefly pulling out the pin. If the alarm sounds weak you should replace the battery as follows: o Insert the pin W into the alarm. o Open the alarm Q by removing the two housing screws P from the housing back { using a small crosshead screwdriver and taking off the battery compartment lid. o Carefully take out the battery } , e. g. Position the positive pole (+) of the battery to correspond with the positive marking (+) on the battery compartment. o Screw the battery compartment lid back on to the alarm. Rectifying faults Fault The alarm does not sound even though the pin has been pulled out. Cause - The battery is exhausted. - The battery has been inserted the wrong way round (polarity). The battery is exhausted. Remedy - Insert a new battery. - Check that the battery has been inserted with the correct polarity. [. . . ] This guarantee applies to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. Furthermore, the guarantee is restricted to defects in material and manufacture only. It does not cover normal wear and tear or damage to fragile parts such as the button or the light. The product is intended for private and domestic use exclusively. [. . . ]
