CD PLAYER OPERATION The unit is designed to play CDs bearing the logo. If the disc does not confirm to this standard, it may not play properly. CD PLAYBACK Position the FUNCTION SWITCH on CD (the display unit briefly displays "--"). LOADING A DISC - Press the corner marked OPEN/CLOSE on the CD Door to access the CD compartment. Place a CD in the compartment with the printed side facing up. - To play the disc, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. (If no disc is loaded the LED Display will show "--" 3 NOTES: - Never place anything except a compact disc in the disc tray. - Only place one disc on the disc tray at a time. PROGRAM CHECK: In STOP mode, press the PROG (Program) button. (The display unit displays the track number in the order programmed). Continue to press PROG (Program) to see all the tracks in the program list. NOTE: Press the STOP button twice to clear the programming list. 4 TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE If you have followed the instructions and are having difficulty operating the unit, locate the PROBLEM in the left column below. Then check the POSSIBLE CAUSE column and its corresponding SOLUTION to locate and remedy the problem. PROBLEM No power when ON/OFF button is on. POSSIBLE CAUSE The Boombox may not be plugged into the wall or batteries are not installed. The adapter plug is not securely inserted into the Boombox. Boombox volume control is set to minimum level. SOLUTION Insert the adapter plug into an AC outlet or install 8 C size batteries. Check the outlet with a different electrical appliance.
