Only use the batteries specified by the manufacturer. Only use the AC adapter provided by the manufacturer. NOTES: - Never place anything except a compact disc in the disc tray. - Only place one disc on the disc tray at a time. - Refer to the TROUBLESHOOTING guide if a disc is loaded but the total tracks do not appear on the status display. PLAY/PAUSE - To start playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. The first track [ 1 ] will be displayed on the screen. - To temporarily stop playing, press the PLAY/PAUSE button. - To resume play, press the PLAY/PAUSE button once more. NOTE: Pressing pause when a CD+G disc is playing may cause distorted lyrics on the monitor. Any distortion will remain until the whole screen is refreshed during an instrumental break or you stop the song and start it from the beginning. MASTER VOLUME Rotate the MASTER VOLUME control to obtain the desired sound level. AVC AUTO VOICE CONTROL can be activated by pressing the AVC button. The vocals on the multiplex recording will be muted when the singer starts to sing through the microphone. When the singer stops singing, the vocals will resume to normal. FM RADIO & LINE IN (AUX) OPERATION LINE IN OPERATION Using LINE IN - connect an audio cable (not included) from the LINE IN socket on the rear of the unit to the external unit's LINE OUT socket. Slide the CD/RADIO/AUX selector to AUX position. This will allow you to broadcast the external unit's sound through this unit's speaker. Press the POWER button to turn on the unit, slide the CD/RADIO/AUX selector to RADIO position. Rotate the MASTER VOLUME control to desired sound level. Press the SCAN button to scan through FM radio frequencies. Continue to press SCAN until you get the desired station. Press the RESET button to reset radio to low end station. Then press the SCAN button and the unit will scan the stations again. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE If you have followed the instructions and are having difficulty operating the unit, locate the PROBLEM in the left column below. Follow the directions on "Audio Connection" page for connecting to a home stereo system. Connect the video cable to the Karaoke machine's VIDEO OUT and to the TV VIDEO IN. [. . . ]
