Manual abstract: user guide DOD FX65

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] CONTROLS LOUD: Matches the distortion level with original signal level. CAUTION: Turning the LOUD control clockwise may be painful to dogs and small furry woodland creatures in your immediate area (but it sounds damn good). Turning the control counterclockwise can be nice for a little midnight shredding when you don't want to piss the neighbors off. [. . . ] Turning this control clockwise increases the bottom-end flab of the signal at the output, while turning the control counterclockwise decreases the bottom-end flab of the signal at the output HIGH: Controls the "ouch" content of your guitar sound. Turning the control counterclockwise doesn't. Note: Wearing sunglasses while adjusting this control clockwise will not prevent your eyeballs from exploding! OPERATION OF THE FX65B The FX65B is a high-gain effect designed to flay the flesh from your bones when you play a chord. In simplest terms, the signal enters the unit, where it is promptly nuked with overdrive. It is this overdriving that causes the grunge sound. Truly vomitous distortion sounds are really a matter of personal taste, but some example settings are shown to give you a starting point for creating your own disgusting sounds. When setting up the effect, use the LOUD control to match the level of the distortion effect with the level of the original input signal. The control should be set so that there is a slight increase in level when the effect is switched into the signal path. The LOW knob controls the low-frequency (bass) content of the signal (when the effect is on). The LOW and HIGH controls have been cut for this sound. This setting produces a wall of undefined noise. Tune your guitar to C# (C#, F#, B, E, G#, C#), and turn your amp up until you hear an extra flabby bottom. A grinding, overdriven sound with a crisp top end. When used with a single coil pickup, this sound will give you all the noise and · Unauthorized repair of the FX65B will void the warranty. Should your FX65B require service, contact your DOD FX pedal dealer for return / repair information. · Use of any AC adapter other than the DOD PS200R will void the warranty of this product. · If the FX65B fails to switch in or out or the LED indicator stays lit, the battery needs to be replaced. · Remove the battery whenever the unit is not going to be used for an extended period of time. This will prevent possible damage due to leaking battery fluids. IMPORTANT NOTES · The FX65B battery is in use whenever the INPUT jack is plugged in. If you are not using the FX65B, be sure to unplug the cable from the INPUT jack. This will prevent unnecessary battery drain. 5. DOD reserves the right to make changes in design or make additions to or improvements upon this product without incurring any obligation to install the same on products previously manufactured. 4. [. . . ] Proof-of-purchase is considered to be the burden of the consumer. 3. DOD liability under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing defective materials that show evidence of defect, provided the product is returned through the original dealer, where all parts and labor will be covered up to a period of three years.
