[. . . ] Place the machine on a hard surface Remove the water reservoir from its housing by pulling it towards you. Remove the anti-scale cartridge from the bag. place it firmly into the water reservoir. It must rest on the bottom of the reservoir. [. . . ] Replace the reservoir by pushing it right into its housing. Listen for a click to ensure that the tank is correctly engaged. - Never fill the reservoir with hot water - Never add products containing alcohol or essences (perfume, eau de Cologne, lavender essence…) to the water. THERMOSTAT MATERIAL Fasern: Acetat - Polyacryl - Polyamid Tierische Fasern : Seide - Wolle Naturfasern: Baumwolle - Leinen THERMOSTAT ADJUSTMENT • Adjust the thermostat of the iron according to the fabric. € To use steam please ensure that the thermostat dial is set within the 2 and 3 dot settings. TO OPERATE - HEATING PROCESS • Plug the power cable into an earthed socket. € The Power On indicator lights comes on to show that the appliance is switched on. The generator heating pilot light comes on. € Turn the variable steam control knob to the High position. € Wait 90 seconds for the appliance to be ready. At that point you will hear an audible signal. If you press the steam trigger before the appliance is ready, an audible signal sounds to indicate that the generator is not ready to supply steam. € Once the appliance is ready, press the steam trigger until steam comes out. When you switch on the iron, it may take up to 90 seconds before you can call for steam. The steam output will remain at a reduced level until the generator light goes out, by which time it will have reached the normal level. Please note : Whilst you are ironing, the generator and iron heating pilot lights repeatedly go on and off. This is normal, and you can continue to iron and to use the steam. STEAM FLOW RATE CONTROL KNOB • Adjust the flow control knob to suit the type of material being ironed. The volume of steam increases gradually as you turn the control knob towards the maximum (+). € At maximum setting, there is an initial burst of steam lasting for several seconds. The steam output will then return to the normal rate. To repeat this process, wait for a few seconds to avoid any risk of spotting. [. . . ] 1 indicator light begins flashing to indicate that the cartridge must be changed soon. B) If the water-softening cartridge is not changed, the EMC system itself stops the production of steam after a certain amount of ironing time. An audible warning then sounds if you press the steam trigger. To produce steam again, either the anti-scale cartridge must be changed or distilled water must be used. [. . . ]
