Consultaqualifiedtechnician for instructions if you are unsure. · Avoidinstallingtheamplifierwhereitwouldbesubjecttohightemperatures, such as from direct sunlight, or where it would be subject to dust, dirt or excessivevibration. · Useextremecautionwhendrillingholestoavoiddamagingfuellinesor existingvehiclewiring. [. . . ] 6. Neverrunspeakerwiresunderneathyourvehicle. Runningspeakerwires insidethevehicleprovidesthebestprotectionfromexhaust, heatand environmentalelements. 7. Avoidrunningwiresover, nearorthroughsharp-edgedsurfaces. Wesuggest you also use rubber grommets to protect any wires routed through metal, especially the firewall. 8. Whenrunningthespeakercabletotheamplifier, avoidrunningitnearsources ofhighcurrent(i. e. wiringharnesses, batterycables). 3 SBP8AINSTALLATION ConnectionDescriptions NOTE Besuretofollowspecificinstructionsincludedwithyouramplifierinstallation kit(notincludedwiththisamplifier). Typical trunk-mount installations requirea17-20footRCAcable. Mosttrucksand behind-seatapplicationsrequirea6-12footRCA cable. UsingtwistedpairconstructionRCAcables will minimize noise. HighLevelInput HighlevelinputsshouldonlybeusedwhenRCA (SpeakerWire) outputsarenotavailablefromtheheadunit. Connect theheadunitspeakeroutputstothehighlevelinput connector shown on page 6. Do not use both low and highlevelinputsatthesametime-connectonlyone or the other. CrossoverFrequency Theadjustablecrossoverisusedtofilterout Control frequenciesabove70Hz~200Hz.
