We think you will ride your Ducati motorcycle for long journeys as well as short daily trips. We are steadily doing our best to improve our "Technical Assistance" service. [. . . ] Apply brakes and you will bring the motorcycle to a complete stop. To switch the engine off, simply turn the key to OFF (fig. 44). E Important Never leave the key in the ON position when engine is stopped, or this will damage the electric components. 44 Parking Stop the motorcycle, then put it on the centre stand to park it (see page 42). Warning Firmly secure all removed parts when refitting them, otherwise some of them might suddenly come off when riding and you may lose control of your motorcycle. Important At reassembly always use nylon washers when tightening fastening screws, not to damage painted parts and Plexiglas windscreen of headlight fairing. Some fastening screws are of the self-tapping type; do not overtighten, otherwise threading might damage and screws would not be tightened properly next time. [. . . ] Ducati will reimburse the owner for the expenses, including diagnosis, not to exceed Ducati's suggested retail price for all warranted parts replaced and labor charges based on Ducati's recommended time allowance for the warranty repair and the geographically appropriate hourly labor rate. The owner may be required to keep receipts and failed parts in order to receive compensation. Limitations This Emission Control System Warranty shall not cover any of the following: A. Repair or replacement required as a result of (1) accident, (2) misuse, (3) repairs improperly performed or replacements improperly installed, (4) use of replacement parts or accessories not conforming to Ducati specifications which adversely affect performance and/or (5) use in competitive racing or related events.
