E-Tech RTBR05 English manual 12 6. 1 Virtual Server - DMZ The router's DMZ function allows you to configure a so called `Demilitarized Zone'. Enabling the DMZ effectively disables the firewall and sends all traffic to the specified IP address. Follow the instructions below to configure the DMZ: 1. Enter the IP address of the computer all traffic has to go to in the text box near `DMZ host IP address'. Click the `Save' button to save the settings. . 6. 2 Virtual Server - UPnP UPnP allows programs with this feature to automatically open the ports they need to function. Follow the instructions below to enable UPnP: 1. Check the checkbox near `Enable UPnP'. Click the `Save' button to save the settings. E-Tech RTBR05 English manual 13 6. 3 Virtual Sever - UPnP Portmap The `UPnP Portmap' page presents you with an overview of the ports opened by UPnP enabled programs. Remote Host Public Port Private Host Private Port Protocol Duration Comment : This will show you to what remote network device (e. g. : This will show the automatically configured public port. : This will show you the network device (e. g. a computer) the traffic originates from. : This will show the automatically configured private port. : This will show you the duration of the connection between the private and the remote host. : Any comments added by the program opening the port (e. g. the name of the program) will be shown here. E-Tech RTBR05 English manual 14 7. 0 Security Setting - Client Filter Attention!A number of advanced settings require in-depth knowledge of networking. If you encounter problems after changing settings in this menu you can consult appendix A hint 1 (page 22) to restore the DSL/ cable router to its factory settings. The `Client Filter' menu allows you to block certain types of network traffic and ports for certain IP addresses. Follow the instructions below to configure a client filter: Click the `Add' button and the following screen wil appear. 1. 11. Select the rule you want to add/ modify from the dropdown box near `Filtering Rule'.
