[. . . ] If the syringe barrel falls off the plunger, repeat Step 2. Retract Plunger 3 4 5 6 · When the piston is secured on the plunger make sure you are still in Manual mode (hand button lit). Start to retract the syringe barrel back to the adapter by pressing and holding the Pullback button. Note: Go slowly -- if you retract the barrel too far, the plunger will disengage from the piston, and you will need to start over at Step 1. · Continue retracting the barrel until only a small gap remains between the barrel and the adapter. Adapter Leave a small gap Attach Barrel to Adapter · When the barrel has been retracted, slide the barrel retainer over the syringe barrel and thread the retainer one full turn only onto the adapter. Barrel Retainer Attach Dispense Tip · Replace the tip cap with the appropriate dispense tip. Fully tighten the barrel retainer onto the adapter. · As you tighten the barrel onto the adapter, fluid should start to flow into the dispense tip.
