[. . . ] Outputs a_High and b_High: 12 sample periods (exactly 250 us); 3. Output b_Low: 13 sample periods (about 271 us). To compensate for the additional delay on the high-frequency outputs, the component offset delay block settings have been reduced by two sample periods. The additional three-sample delay in the low-frequency path of the "b" channel is uncompensated, but adds a negligible amount of delay to the woofer. QuickMAP Input and Output Assignments The inputs of both the two-way and three-way QuickMAPs have been assigned to module #1 of the ISP-100. Where possible, the remaining outputs follow the Merlin ISP-100 convention of assigning outputs in low- to high-frequency order, high- to low-number module order, and letter "a" to "b" order. When looking at the ISP-100 from the rear, this conveniently places the low-frequency outputs on the left and the remaining higherfrequency outputs proceeding left to right. Both sub-channel outputs have been assigned to the same output module in each of the two QuickMAPs (module #4 for the two-way QuickMAP and module #2 for the three-way). If subwoofers are not used, these modules may be left out of the ISP-100, and need not be ordered. Note that gaps will exist in the module lineup if the sub channels module is not installed. page 9 Merlin X-Array Install Manual 5. PROJECTS AND QUICKSETS Individual ISP-100 projects for each of the X-Array Install systems were created that utilize the two previously mentioned QuickMAPs. Each of these projects contain one or more QuickSETs which define the individual parameters and settings of each of the blocks in the QuickMAP. This section shows each of these projects and the associated QuickSET parameters for each of the X-Array Install systems. QuickSETs are included for each system for several different modes and combinations including: 1. with Xi-1191 subwoofer in both normal and step-down modes, and 3. conventional three-way and overlap threeway modes between woofer and midrange for the 15-inch woofer three-way projects (Xi-1153/64 and Xi-2153/64). Future QuickSETs may contain overlap parameters for the 18-inch woofer three-way projects and also for overlapping the subwoofer with the two- and three-way projects. Refer to a previous section for more information on overlapping and its effects. CAUTION: Although any or all of the parameter settings of each block may be easily modified, we highly suggest keeping the original factorysupplied settings intact so that the X-Array Install systems perform at their best. This is particularly true for the limiter/protection blocks (see additional cautions in the previous section). The name of each QuickSET contains a fourletter code which indicates which of four alternate configurations are included. Each letter of the code can be either "Y" or "N", for yes or no. [. . . ] Conversely, if your measured gain was only 28 dB, 14 dB lower than assumed 42 dB gain, the threshold must be increased by 14 dB yielding -11 dB. SOFTWARE AVAILABILITY The X-Array Install Merlin ISP-100 setup software and manual is available three different ways: 1. page 15 Merlin X-Array Install Manual 9. OPERATION Assuming that the new X-Array Install Merlin ISP-100 Projects and QuickMaps have been properly installed as described in the previous section, the following procedure should be followed to start an appropriate project to configure the ISP-100 for an X-Array Install system on your PC (additional information is found in the ISP-100's hardware and software manuals): 1. Connections: Connect the PC and Merlin ISP-100 together with a serial cable. [. . . ]
