1. To clean exterior surfaces, use a damp soft cloth and wipe dry. Do not use any chemical solvents, as these will damage the surface. Plug the iron and set the temperature to MAX. When the light turns green, unplug, hold it over a sink and pull the steam knob out (for EDB8040 set the steam knob to auto-clean). Insert the steam knob back and press until the click. If the temperature knob is not on MAX position, it will not be possible to pull out or place back the steam knob. Do not use scouring pads or harsh cleaners on the soleplate as these will damage the surface. to remove burnt residue , iron over a damp cloth while iron is still hot. To clean the Glissium™ soleplate (enamelled), simply wipe with soft damp cloth and wipe dry. 11 13:33
