If you connect one computer to the printer, you can select the parallel, RS-232C serial, or optional interface according to the interface your computer requires. The printer does not accept data from another interface unless it receives no data from the current interface for the period set in I/F time-out. After the timeout limit is reached without receiving further data, the printer switches to the interface that receives data next.
