These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio or television reception. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. [. . . ] Insert the paper stack into the ADF until it meets resistance. If your document is in portrait orientation (top and bottom edges are shorter than the side edges), insert the document bottom edge first. Caution: When scanning high-quality color or halftone documents, it is best to open the ADF and scan documents as described in Loading documents manually.
