[. . . ] When the paper holder plates are deformed, stop using the printer and do not remove the clogged paper by force. Using the printer with deformed paper plates may damage the grid roller or print heads. Contact your local Epson dealer. Installing paper holder plates Variations in quality and use conditions can cause the edges of the paper to curl, resulting in damage to the paper by the print head surface. To prevent this, use the paper holder plates to reduce the amount of curling in the paper. Follow the procedure below to install the paper holder plates. Note: If there is interference with the paper as it is fed through the printer after the paper holder plates have been installed, stop using the paper holder plates. E Make sure that the roll paper is passed over the cushioning roller and then tape the leading edge to the scroller in the center. A Turn on the power of the Auto Take-Up Reel Unit.
