1) Refer to the Assembly Instructions and Owner's Manual of your play system for important information on Choosing a Safe Installation Site and Installation Tips, including guidance on using ChildLife's recessed Safety Nuts. Also, read the important sections on Maintenance and Safe Use. [. . . ] Push the Plastic Spacer completely into the hole in the center of the Steering Wheel. Note that the bolt (with washer already in place) travels first through the Steering Wheel and the Plastic Spacer, and then through the horizontal hole at the installation point. Use the 5/16" Safety Nut and Hex Key Wrench to fasten securely.

3) Attach the Steering Wheel to the Dashboard. Use a 4-1/2" Carriage Bolt and the pre-drilled horizontal hole in the center of the Dashboard top. Steering Wheel must face IN to play system. 4) Attach the Steering Wheel to a Crow's Nest Treehouse. Use a 2-1/2" Carriage Bolt and a pre-drilled horizontal hole about 12" in from the end of the horizontal rail opposite the trap door. Steering Wheel must face IN to Crow's Nest. If your Crow's Nest was manufactured before 1998, drill this hole yourself using a household drill and 1/2" drill bit. 5) Attach the Steering Wheel to a Firechief's Treehouse. Use a 2-1/2" Carriage Bolt and the pre-drilled horizontal hole about 24" in from the Knotted Rope end of the 68" Pole/Rope Top Crossarm. Steering Wheel must face in to Firechief's Treehouse. [. . . ] The Steering Wheel is not meant to be climbed on or used as a support, for hands or feet, in the climbing process.
