Attaching Wavy Bridge and Linking Wavy Bridge PLEASE NOTE: The Wavy Bridge can be installed only on a Fireman's Gym, Firechief, Superchief, and Jungle Tower. This product is intended for use by children ages 5 through 12 years, under responsible adult supervision at all times. They are not intended for use in places of public assembly such as schools, parks, condominiums, churches and temples, and child care centers. Please read this instruction manual completely before starting assembly. Do not allow any use of the equipment until it has been assembled, installed, inspected, and tested in accordance with these instructions. Serious injury could result. Please keep a copy of your order and our catalog with this Manual for future reference in ordering replacement parts. PLEASE NOTE: This product is an add-on to your ChildLife® play system. [. . . ] Fasten the first Bridge Upright to the side of the Walkway with two 2-1/4" x 1/4" Carriage Bolts and 1/4" Safety Nuts. The bolts travel first through the Bridge Upright and then into the Walkway. The safety nut will rest in the countersunk hole in the Walkway. Repeat this paragraph to fasten the other Bridge Upright to the same end of the Walkway. Now go to Step 7. ILLUSTRATION 5 Step 7. ATTACH WALKWAY TO SELECTED UPRIGHTS (SEE ILLUSTRATION 5) Bridge Upright HARDWARE REQUIRED FOR THIS STEP · Four 3" x 5/16" Lag Screws (in Box #60) · Four 5/16" Flat Washers play system Upright (in Box #60) 3" x 5/16" Lag Screws Install Lag Screws through the Walkway and into the pilot holes. Stand the Bridge up and fasten the end of the Walkway that does not have the Bridge Uprights to the play system Uprights you selected in Step 4. Fasten the Bridge Walkway to the selected Uprights with four 3" x 5/16" Lag Screws and four 5/16" Flat Washers. Use the pilot holes that you drilled 26-1/2" and 29-1/2" up from the bottom of the Uprights. The lag screws travel first through the Walkway and then into the pilot holes in the Upright. Install hardware completely so the head of the lag screw does not protrude above the level of the countersunk hole. Now go to Step 8. 6 ILLUSTRATION 6 Refer to Paragraph A or B for hardware required Step 8. FASTEN THE TWO TOP SIDE RAILS (SEE ILLUSTRATION 6) HARDWARE REQUIRED FOR THIS STEP · Two 2-1/4" x 1/4" Carriage Bolts 2-1/4" x 1/4" Carriage Bolt · Two 1/4" Safety Nuts (in Box #62) (in Box #62) Locate the four identical Side Rails in Box #60. Side Rail Fasten one Side Rail to the top inside of one of the Bridge Uprights with one 2-1/4" x 1/4" Carriage Bolt and 1/4" Safety Nut. Position the Side Rail such that the countersunk hole is exposed. The bolt travels first through the Bridge Upright and then into the Side Rail. The safety nut will rest in the countersunk hole in the Side Rail. Repeat to fasten another Side Rail to the top of the other Bridge Upright. Using the hardware specified in either Paragraph A or B below, fasten the other ends of these two Side Rails to the selected Uprights on the play system. Use the pre-drilled holes 66" up from the bottom of the play system Uprights. If you are fastening to a Jungle Tower, go to Paragraph A. If you are fastening to a Fireman's Gym, go to Paragraph B. HARDWARE REQUIRED FOR PARAGRAPH A · Two 4-1/4" x 1/4" Carriage Bolts (in Box #60) · Two 1/4" Safety Nuts (in Box #60) A) Use two 4-1/4" x 1/4" Carriage Bolts and two 1/4" Safety Nuts. The bolts travel first through the play system Uprights and then into the Side Rails. The safety nuts will rest in the countersunk holes in the Side Rails. Now skip to Step 9. 7 HARDWARE REQUIRED FOR PARAGRAPH B · One 4-1/4" x 1/4" Carriage Bolt (in Box #60) · One 5-1/2" x 1/4" Carriage Bolt · Two 1/4" Safety Nuts (in Box #60) (in Box #60) B) Use one 4-1/4" x 1/4" Carriage Bolt, one 5-1/2" x 1/4" Carriage Bolt, and two 1/4" Safety Nuts.
