For best results follow these step by step assembly instructions carefully. Pictured is a Fireman's Gym with accessories This product is for residential use only. It is not intended for use in places of public assembly such as schools, parks, condominiums, churches and temples, and child care centers. WARNING! Please follow all these Safety, Maintenance, and Assembly Instructions. [. . . ] Make sure swings travel at right angles to the (cont. ) swing support, not into the paths of adjacent swings. Adjust the length of swing ropes to straighten the line of travel. ROPES All ropes gradually deteriorate in the weather and through use. Follow the inspection and testing procedures for FRAMES AND RUNGS on previous page. Check all ropes, swing seats, and nets at the beginning of the usage season and monthly thereafter for evidence of deterioration. Immediately remove and replace any items that appear to be weak or broken. Make sure swings travel at right angles to the swing support, not into the paths of adjacent swings. Adjust the length of swing ropes to straighten the line of travel. MOVEMENT OF SWING FRAMES Some swaying of the equipment near the top is normal and to be expected. You may hear "creaking" noises as the children swing. This is also normal, particularly when the equipment is new. If Base Pieces lift off the ground, this indicates that your stakes have loosened. Reinstall or replace them before allowing further use of the equipment. ADDITIONAL ITEMS Any additional items you may have purchased and installed should be maintained in accordance with the instruction manuals provided with those items. REFINISHING Sun and moisture are the enemies of all wood, paint, and stain. Check twice each year for weather cracks in ladder rungs or wooden frame parts and fill with exterior grade crack filler. This will prevent moisture from further penetrating the wood. Look carefully for cracks in exposed end grain. If you need to touch up the painted portions of your equipment, order ChildLife Enamel (available in 4-oz and quart sizes) from your point of purchase. Reseal Ladder Rungs once a year with a non-toxic wood preservative. You can order ChildLife Clear Wood Sealer (available in quarts) from your point of purchase. Do not use glossy paint or varnish on rungs, as this will make them slippery. LAWN MAINTENANCE Do not use line trimmers or "weed eaters" around your play equipment. The line will remove both paint and wood from uprights and base pieces. Any damage resulting from this type of abuse is not covered under our limited warranty. 6 Fireman's Gym play system ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS WARNING! You must assemble this product as instructed.
