GENERAL INFORMATION The cleaner is designed to pick up dirt and dust particles. Avoid picking up hard or sharp objects that could damage the vacuum cleaner. Make sure the filter is securely attached in place before vacuuming. Failure to replace the filter will allow dust to enter the motor section which will damage the vacuum cleaner. Some fine particles can restrict airflow very quickly and will decrease performance even before the dust container appears full. For that reason, when vacuuming carpet fresheners or cleaners, powder, plaster dust, or similar fine substances, the dust container and filter may need cleaning more often. NOTE: Turn off the switch and unplug the electrical cord before emptying the dust container and cleaning the motor filter. Latch Press the dust container latch, located below the electrical cord, and rotate the dust container off the unit. Grasp the motor filter and pull up to remove. Shake dust container contents into a suitable container. If further cleaning is desired, hand launder the washable motor filter in warm water using a mild detergent. Air dry thoroughly before returning it to the dust container. Replace motor filter into top of dust container so rim of filter is seated completely inside the container. Place the dust container tab into the slot in the unit. [. . . ] Hold belt view cover to top of the opening and slide cover down into place. Snap corners into position and secure with screw. Replace brush roll nozzle cover so the release tab is on the right side of the cleaner.
