In Pre-OS Mode, select the Source hard drive in the upper pane, and then select the Source Partition(s) you want to back up in the lower pane. Using Recovery CD/DVD to restore your computer To restore your system from a Recovery CD/DVD, simply insert the Recovery CD/DVD disc into the CD/DVD-ROM and reboot your computer. The restoration process will be done automatically. Note: Make sure you have set Boot from CD-ROM option in the motherboard BIOS settings. If you have modified the disk structure after you have created the disc or your hard drive has physically crashed, it cannot perform an auto-recovery and will boot into RestoreIT Pro Pre-OS Mode. You can then select a disk image to perform a restoration to an earlier state. 3-7. 2 How to Restore Individual Files from an External Complete Backup If you need to restore an individual file or folder from an External Complete Backup or a hard drive image, simply pick out the file or folder from the preview option and you can restore the selected files without restoring the whole partition/disk. Just mount the image file as a temporary partition and copy the file or folder needed. mount an External Complete Backup as a partition Select Advanced Functions and then click Mount Image. Select Mount an image as a partition and click Next. Select the image file of the External Complete Backup Point. Select the partition containing the file or folder you wish to restore, and select a drive to mount. Click Next to start mounting the temporary partition. Click OK after the partition is successfully mounted. Now you can see the mounted drive in Windows Explorer. (Drive U: in this case) Now you can browse the drive and copy the desired file or folder to your specified location. After you have finished restoring an individual file or folder, you can dismount the temporary partition. Follow the steps below to dismount the drive: 1.
