Continuous operation beyond 3-5 minutes will trigger a 15-minute cool down period. Set to Off (O) and plug in CARD Check paper amount Set to Auto-On (I) Feed into paper entry and release Set to Off (O) Safety Lock prevents accidental operation. To set, wait for shredding to stop, push black button down and slide towards front of shredder. To unlock push black button down and slide toward back of shredder. For greater safety, always unplug shredder after use. 1 2 3 4 5 Set to Off (O) and plug in Set to Auto-On (I) Hold card at edge Feed into center of entry and release Set to Off (O) TROUBLESHOOTING Paper jam: Set to Off (O), remove shredder head and empty bin. Replace shredder head, and follow any or all of the below procedures. 1 2 3 4 5 6 Shredder doesn't start: Make sure head is on basket correctly Wait 15 minutes for motor to cool down Remove and empty basket Set to Reverse (R) for 2-3 seconds Alternate slowly back and forth Set to Off (O) and unplug Gently pull uncut paper from paper entry. Plug in. Set to Reverse (R) Make sure safety lock is in unlock position BASIC PRODUCT MAINTENANCE OILING SHREDDER All cross-cut shredders require oil for peak performance.
