high performance acoustic guitar saddle Thank you for purchasing the Fishman Cleartone replacement saddle.  [. . . ] 1 Remove the existing saddle from the guitar. 2 Place the Cleartone and the existing saddle side to side and line up the rounded tops. Carefully compare the degree of curvature between the two saddles. If they match,  then leave the top of the Cleartone untouched. If the tops differ,  you will need to reshape the Cleartone to match the existing saddle. 3 Trace the outline of the existing saddle onto the Cleartone with a sharp pencil. Rough cut the traced dimensions and then sand or file away the remaining excess material from the Cleartone saddle until you match the dimensions of the existing saddle. 4 After you finish,  sand the bottom edge of the Cleartone maintaining a 90° angle with the sanding surface.  [. . . ] To check a slip fit,  the saddle should slide into the slot easily,  but not fall out with the guitar overturned.
