[. . . ] ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL GUIDE Note: The basic timer is externally arranged in different configurations in various appliance models. This does not change the way it operates. Typical Control Pad Functions (READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE OVEN) BAKE PAD UP and DOWN ARROW PAD TIMER PAD PREHEAT PAD OR CONV. BAKE/ROAST PAD CLEAN PAD CANCEL PAD VARI BROIL PAD BAKE TIME PAD STOP TIME PAD CLOCK PAD Note: Note: Push buttons or pads may be shaped differently. The electronic control is inoperable until the clock is set to the correct time of day, after the appliance is first plugged in, or after a power interruption. [. . . ] To change the temperature after preheat has begun, repeat steps 1 and 2. To cancel the preheat function, push PREHEAT, or if you want to cancel the whole program, push CANCEL. To Set or Change the Temperature for Normal Baking The oven can be programmed to bake at any temperature from 170°F to 550°F. "-- -- --°" and the word "BAKE" will flash in the display. The display will show "350°F". By holding the UP or DOWN ARROW, the temperature can then be adjusted in 5°F increments. As soon as the UP or DOWN ARROW is released, the oven will begin heating. The display will show the actual oven temperature as it increases to the desired setting. If preheating is necessary, wait the selected temperature is shown in the display. To cancel the baking function, push CANCEL. To change the temperature after normal baking/roasting has begun, repeat steps 1 and 2 above. To Set or Change Temperature for Convection Baking /Roasting (some models) 1. "-- -- --°" and word "CONV. " will flash in the display. Push and hold the UP or DOWN ARROW until the desired baking temperature appears in the display. As soon as the UP or DOWN ARROW is released, the oven will begin heating and the fan inside the oven will turn on. The fan shuts off when the oven door is opened. To cancel the convection baking/roasting function, push CANCEL. To change the temperature after convection baking/roasting has begun, repeat steps 1 and 2 above. Use caution when using the automatic timer. Use the automatic timer when cooking cured or frozen meats and most fruits and vegetables. Foods that can easily spoil such as milk, eggs, fish, meat or poultry, should be chilled in the refrigerator first. Even when chilled, they should not stand in the oven for more than 1 hour before cooking begins, and should be removed promptly when cooking is completed. ELECTRONIC OVEN CONTROL 4 Setting Oven Controls (continued) AUTOMATIC TIMED COOKING: To Set the Automatic Timer (Timed Bake Feature) The BAKE TIME and STOP TIME pads control the Time Bake operation. The automatic timer will turn the oven on and off at the times you select in advance. The oven can be programmed to start immediately and shut off automatically or to begin baking at a later time with an automatic shut off. To start heating immediately and to shut off automatically: 1. Be sure that the clock shows the correct time of day. [. . . ] This temperature adjustment is automatically made by the electronic oven control. The time of day that the self-cleaning cycle ends will appear in the display. The words "CLN STOP TIME" will flash in the display. Push and hold the UP or DOWN ARROW until the time of day that you want the cleaning to be completed appears in the display. [. . . ]
