[. . . ] Fill the lower recipient with water, then tightly screw the top recipient onto the bottom recipient, then place the coffee maker on the base and only then insert the plug into the electrical outlet. To disconnect the coffee maker, remove it from the base and unplug it from the electrical outlet. Unplug the base after removing and emptying the coffee maker. Clean the coffee maker regularly to prevent malfunctions. [. . . ] For best results, use fine-ground Mocha coffee and press it down slightly. Screw together tightly the upper and lower recipients, place the coffee maker on the base and insert the plug into the electrical outlet and push ON/OFF bottom (20). A series of beep sound will last for 5 seconds to indicate the coffee cooking starts. In just a few minutes the coffee will flow into the upper recipient. When the coffee is ready, the indicator light (12) will go out. A series of beep sound will last for 30 seconds to indicate the coffee is done. Unplug the base from the electrical outlet, pour the coffee and serve. PROGRAM OPERATION FOR BASE TIMER ( 1 ) When the power is on : - The EL (Electroluminescence) display is on, it will be off after one minute. - Whenever you press any key, the EL display will be on for one minute. - The EL display will be off whenever the AC power is disconnected. - The LCD clock power is supported by the battery which is built in the device, so, the LCD can be kept working even the AC power is disconnected. ( 2 ) "PROG" KEY : - In the clock mode, press and hold the "PROGR" (17) key for 2 sec, the coffee pot will go into the clock setting mode, and the CLOCK icon will be flashing, press the ON/OFF key (20), the coffee pot will go back to the normal clock display. - In the clock mode, press the "PROGR"(17) key once, the coffee pot will go into the coffee cooking setting mode, and the PROGRAM icon will be flashing, press the ON/OFF key (20), the coffee pot will go back to the normal clock display. IMPORTANT: the cover must remain closed during brewing. CAUTION: the stainless steel body may become very hot. Do not touch any potentially hot elements until they have cooled. CAUTION: appliance must not be unscrewed open when it is still hot. Wait till cool down before unscrewing the upper and lower vessel. WARNING: never use the coffee maker without water. - The minute digits will be flashing, press the + key once, the minute will be increased by 1, if the + key is pressed and hold for 2 seconds, the minute digits will be increased with the speed of 8 minutes per second, the minute digits will count from 00 to 59, then the hour digits will increase by one, such as 1 : 00, if the setting is over the current timer, press the ­ key to decrease the minute as the + key does, after completing the clock setting, press ON/OFF key (20), the display ENGLISH will go back to the normal clock mode or leave it for 5 seconds the setting is confirmed automatically and the display will go back to normal clack mode. ( 4 ) COFFEE START COOKING MODE - Under the normal clock mode, if you press the "PROGR" (17) key once, the coffee pot will go into the COFFEE START COOKING MODE, the PROGRAM icon flashes. - The minute digits will be flashing, press the + key once, the minute will be increased by 1, if the + key is pressed and hold for 2 seconds, the minute digits will be increased with the speed of 8 minutes per second. [. . . ] Clean only with a soft, moist cloth and dry carefully. Decalcification: After some time of use, calcium deposits may form on the metal parts of the appliance. In order to preserve optimal operation, the decalcification procedure should be carried out on a regular basis to clean the inside of the coffee maker. The frequency will depend on the hardness of the water in your house and how often you use the machine. [. . . ]
