Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] To get the most out of your new purchase please take a few minutes to read through this manual. If you are in a hurry, we suggest you at least read through the "SBX Cabinet Setup section before using your new rig. This will help get you started and give you a few quick tips, but is not a substitute for reading the rest of the manual. [. . . ] Having supported my products for over thirty years, I have learned from the story they tell. Gallien-Krueger is a reflection of that story, and has a commitment to support that legacy. Just as the products I created thirty years ago are still telling their story, the products we create today will be talking to us tomorrow. If your SBX Cabinet did not come with all the items listed above, or if you encounter problems while setting up your new equipment, please contact your local dealer, or us as soon as possible at: Gallien-Krueger, Inc. 2234 Industrial Drive Stockton, CA 95206 phone: (209) 234-7300 fax: (209) 234-8420 Internet: www. gallien-krueger. com Email: sales@gallien. com We wish you a lifetime of good playing and remember to always have fun! Robert Gallien Founder & President 2 SBX Series Cabinets SBX Features SBX Series Cabinets are designed to offer the ultimate in sound quality and stage flexibility. They can be played in several positions, upright, stacked on their sides, or rocked back for close monitoring situations. A unique interlocking corner design allows the cabinets to lock together in various positions. 2) Mode Switch: Switches between Horn Bi-Amp (HMS) mode and Full Range operation. When using this cabinet with an HMS compatible head such as the 1001RBII, this switch should be set to Bi-Amp. For operation with non HMS amplifiers this switch should be set to full range. Horn Management System (HMS): All SBX cabinets include a passive crossover for standard operation or may be used with GK's unique Horn Management System (HMS). HMS compatible amplifiers use an electronic crossover to split the signal between the main amplifier and a separate horn (tweeter) amplifier. The horn amp sends signals above 5kHz to the horn while the main amplifier sends a full range signal to the woofers. Optionally you can engage the Woofer High-Cut to to cut signals above 5kHZ from the main amplifier. Both signals are delivered to the cabinet via a single 4-conductor high current twistlock cable (Speakon). This arrangement does two things for the sound: 1) Electronic crossovers, can be far superior to the passive crossover found in full range speaker cabinets, providing a more seamless, accurate sound. 2) With separate power amps for the horn and woofer, the artist can overdrive the woofer power amp (creating the desired growl) while keeping the horn amplifier clean and undistorted. 3) Full Range ¼'' Input: Using a standard ¼'' speaker cable, this input jack provides full range operation with any bass amplifier head. HMS mode will not work with this jack. 4) High Range Attenuator: Adjusts the volume level of the horn when the cabinet is in full range mode. When used in Bi-Amp mode with an HMS compatible amplifier like the 1001RB-II, this control is bypassed and the horn level is adjusted by using the Tweeter control on the front panel of the amplifier. Bi-Amp Mode: When the mode switch is set to Bi-Amp, the passive crossover is bypassed and the cabinet may be used with an HMS compatible head such as the GK 1001RB-II. [. . . ] The handles must always be situated on the left and right sides of the unit in all stacking variations. Never stack the 210SBX on its left or right handle side. 3 SBX Series Cabinets Specifications: Cabinet: Power Handling: Impedance: Port Style: Dimensions: 210SBX 200W 8 Ohms Sealed 23''W 15. 75''H 18''D 49 lbs Carpet 410SBX 400W 8 Ohms Sealed 23''W 23''H 18''D 84 lbs Carpet 115SBX-II 400W 8 Ohms Front Port 23''W 23''H 18''D 64 lbs Carpet 810SBX 800W 4 Ohms Sealed 26. 5"W 49"H 17"D 145 lbs Carpet Weight: Covering: Construction: Castors: Heavily braced cabinet, 16 gauge steel grill, custom tooled interlocking corners.
