Manual abstract: user guide GENELEC HT312

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Once unpcke plce the louspeker in its require listening position, tking note of the line of the cousticl xis (see Figure ). Sufficient cooling for the mplifier must be ensure. he minimum clernce for the mplifier is 0 centimeters (4") to ny object. he spce jcent to the mplifier must either be ventilte or sufficiently lrge to issipte het so tht the mbient temperture oes not rise bove egrees Celsius (9°F). [. . . ] wo pirs of connectors re provie, n for V DC type remote control, n n 4 for n externl switch or rely type control. Do not connect two remote controls to the louspekert the sme time. ctivte the function by turning the "REMOE CONROL" ip switch on the mplifier pnel to "ON". Note tht the remote control function overries the "utostrt" ip switch function. the ttenution vlue is no longer ccurte. Verticl / horizontl mounting he louspekers re elivere either for verticl or horizontl mounting. In the horizontl mounting position the bss rivers shoul point inwrs to obtin better low frequency coupling. If the louspeker positioning nees to be chnge, the DCW plte cn be rotte so tht the mirnge river remins lwys locte t the bottom of the DCW. Remove the four corner screws of the DCW n pull the plte crefully out without stressing the wires n the gsket. Rotte the plte 90 egrees in the pproprite irection n remount the screws. Setting the tone controls he coustic response of the system my lso hve to be juste to mtch the coustic environment. he justment is one by setting the five tone control switch groups `bss tilt', `bss roll-off', `bss level', `mi level' n `treble level' on the rer pnel of the mplifier. he mnufcturer's efult settings for these controls re `ll Off' to give flt nechoic response. See ble for suggeste tone control settings in iffering coustic environments. Figures 7 n 8 show the effect of the controls on the nechoic response. lwys strt justment by setting ll switches to the `OFF' position. hen set only one switch per group to the `ON' position to select the response curve require. If more thn one switch is set to `ON' (within one switch group) Flush mounting he n cn be use flush mounte into the wll structure, which offers some cousticl benefits. No cbinet ege iffrction will occur, resulting in n improve response, especilly t mirnge frequencies. Low frequency reflections from the wll behin the louspeker cn be voie, which improves the low frequency response n efficiency n llows the louspeker to work in hlf spce conitions. In terms of instlltion n orienttion, the louspeker's cousticl xis (See Figure . ) shoul lso point irectly to the the reference listening position. he louspekers shoul be verti- utostrt n remote control he n re equippe with n "utostrt" function, which utomticlly turns the mplifier to "stnby" moe if n input signl hs not been etecte for pproximtely thirty minutes, n bck to "on" moe when the signl returns. he function cn be ectivte by turning the "UOSR" ip switch to "OFF". two-colour LED on the mplifier pnel inictes the mplifier sttus: EVY WOODEN WLL BSORBING MERIL CONCREE WLL SND BGS MULI-LYERED WLL (WOOD, CONCREE, BRICKS) MPLIFIER REMOVED FROM ENCLOSURE CONCREE SRUCURE MPLIFIER REMOVED FROM ENCLOSURE MPLIFIER REMOVED FROM ENCLOSURE VIBRION ISOLORS f ~ -8 z VIBRION ISOLORS f ~ -8 z VIBRION ISOLORS f ~ -8 z Figure : Flush mounting the louspeker in wll constructe of woo Figure 4: Flush mounting the louspeker in wll constructe of concrete Figure : Flush mounting the louspeker in wll constructe of combintion of mterils. clly ime so tht the cousticl xis of the louspekers meet roun er height t the reference listening position.
