[. . . ] The sensors (A) are the black rubber surfaces on either side of the central part. Putting the chest belt on: - Moisten the sensors with water or a water-based conducting gel to ensure good contact - Introduce one side of the elastic into one of the insertion holes (B) on the belt. - Attach the belt around the chest, then position the belt just below the 8 pectoral muscles, with one of the sensors under the heart and the other under the right pectoral. - Adjust the length of the elastic so that it holds firmly but is still comfortable. The belt must not move around if you jump or move your arms. - Check the positioning of the belt by bringing it 50 cm from the watch. If it does not flash normally: - Reduce the distance between the belt and watch. - Adjust the position of the belt and moisten the sensors thoroughly. - Check the condition of the batteries, especially in the belt. IMPORTANT: - Avoid positioning the sensors in areas that are too hairy. - In cold and dry climates, the belt may require several minutes to function correctly, because the sensors need a film of sweat to ensure contact with the skin. - When it first begins measuring, the watch may indicate very high values for about 20 seconds . The display will stabilize at correct values after this interval of time. - Be careful when putting the elastic strap's fastener into the belt's insertion hole. Hold onto the pin by placing your finger behind the belt. BATTERY If the heart rate indications become inconsistent or if the heart symbol does not flash on the screen, even through the watch is placed in the reception cone, it may be necessary to change the battery in the chest belt. You can change the belt battery yourself, without using any specialized tools. Changing procedure: - Use a coin to unscrew the cover of the battery compartment, then remove it - Remove the old battery by tapping on the opposite side of the belt - Replace the used battery with a lithium 3V type CR2032 battery, without touching it on its 2 terminals (it may discharge), with the + terminal (printed surface) up - Carefully replace the cover, making sure that the seal is properly positioned, then screw the cover back on with a quarter turn to the "CLOSE" position. If there is a problem, contact your retailer.
