You can duplicate a tape, removing scenes from the original that you don't want to record on your copy. You may find it easier to edit when the On-Screen Display (OSD) is on your TV screen. Press the DSP button to view the OSD on your TV. The OSD shows you the status and Tape Counter of both decks at all times. The OSD does not record on to your videotape. Make sure the Auto Play feature in the Video Menu is set to OFF. This simplifies editing by preventing the tapes from playing each time they are inserted. To edit out scenes from a single tape. If you have previously set Index Marks on the prerecorded tape, simply use the Index Scan/Search Menu to position the tape at the next scene.
