Each charging slot can only charge 1 battery (either AA or AAA). [. . . ] Trickle charging will start after all batteries are fully charged. The red LED indicator will flash and the charger will stop charging if alkaline, carbon zinc, lithium, rechargeable alkaline or damaged batteries are mistakenly inserted into the charging slots. Once charging is complete, unplug the charger from the power source and remove the batteries. For best performance and optimal safety, charge only GP NiMH batteries with GP PowerBank Express. For brand new batteries, 2 to 3 charge and usage cycles are required to optimize the batteries' performance. If batteries are stored for more than one week, always recharge them before use. It is normal for batteries to become hot during charging and they will gradually cool down to room temperature after fully charged. The ventilation fan will automatically turn on during charging. For best results, use GP PowerBank Express at room temperature with good ventilation. Charging time may vary based on different battery capacities.
