 [. . . ] INSTALLATION SHOULD BE CARRIED OUT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CURRENT EDITION OF THE I. E. E.  [. . . ] IF THE TIMER IS TO BE CONNECTED TO AN APPLIANCE THAT IS REQUIRED TO BE EARTHED THE SUPPLY EARTHING CONDUCTOR AND THE APPLIANCE EARTHING CONDUCTOR SHOULD BE TERMINATED TOGETHER IN THE EARTH TERMINAL PROVIDED WITHIN THE TIMER. 

INSTALLATION ­ PROCEDURE:
1. MEANS OF DISCONNECTION FROM THE SUPPLY HAVING AT LEAST 3MM CONTACT SEPARATION IN ALL POLES MUST BE INCORPORATED IN THE FIXED WIRING MAINS SUPPLY. UNSCREW THE TWO SCREWS LOCATED TOP RIGHT AND BOTTOM LEFT OF FRONT MODULE COVER,  REMOVE COVER AND GENTLY PULL MODULE FROM BACKPLATE. DO NOT PUT UNDUE STRESS ON,  "OR" INTERFERE WITH FIXED BLUE WIRE. NOW SIMPLY PRESS THE CLOCK FACE BUTTON TO RETURN TO NORMAL TIME. IMPORTANT NOTE: IF FOR EXAMPLE YOU WANT THE UNIT TO COME ON AT 6 AM TILL 6 PM AND YOU ARE SETTING THIS PROGRAMME UP AT 11 AM THEN WHEN YOU FINISH YOU WOULD EXPECT THE TIMER TO COME ON. THIS IS NOT THE CASE,  THE REASON IS THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY PASSED THE ON TIME,  (6AM). TO OVER COME THIS SIMPLY PRESS THE HAND BUTTON AND THE HAND SYMBOL WILL SHOW IN THE DISPLAY AND THE UNIT WILL COME ON.
