Caution 7 The foils and blade blocks may not be damaged. Replace any damaged parts before shaving. 2 Press the button the appliance. H Trimming Use the extended trimmer for longer hair on your face and neck, but also on the beard, moustache or sideburns. 1 Press the button the appliance. H to switch on C to switch on 2 Push up the trimmer latches in. until it C 3 Shave with slow, gentle movements against the direction of beard growth. Hold the appliance at a 90° angle to your skin. Caution 7 Do not press too hard as you may damage the foils. 4 After use, switch off the appliance with the switch H and put the plastic cap back on. 3 After use, push the trimmer back down. ENGLISH 17 USE -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Useful tips 7 Always pull the skin taut when shaving difficult areas such as your lower jaw. Always cut against the natural direction of beard growth. In the case of thick or copious beard growth which cannot be removed by just one shave, do one quick shave and then a more thorough second one. 7 7 18 ENGLISH CLEANING AND CARE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------General information The device must be cleaned regularly so that you can continue to enjoy its top performance and optimum results. Clean the housing with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. Do not use any cleaning agents. Caution 7 The appliance must be disconnected from the power unit. 5 Press the H button to switch off the device after rinsing. 6 Gently shake out the remaining moisture and then dry off the device with a clean cloth. 7 Replace the foil frame it latch into place. B Cleaning with water 1 Press the H button to switch off the device. 2 Press the side lock buttons D and remove the foil frame. 3 Rinse out the foil frame running water. B and let under 4 To remove all hairs, hold the blade blocks E under running water and switch on the appliance. ENGLISH 19 CLEANING AND CARE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------Cleaning with the brush 1 Turn the appliance off and remove the foil frame B . To do so, press the side lock buttons D. 2 Remove the E blade blocks for cleaning by pulling them upwards off the oscillator F . 3 Carefully brush hair clippings out of the blade blocks, the foils and the housing. [. . . ] Replacing the blade blocks 1 Remove the E blade blocks by pulling them upwards off the oscillator F . 2 Place the new blade blocks on the oscillator. Caution 7 Ensure that the blade blocks are firmly in position on the holder. Note 7 For an optimum shaving experience, always replace foil frames and blade blocks at the same time.
