All indications and the text EUROPE light up on the display. [. . . ] This information (when available) is transmitted by the RDS radio stations once every minute. The clock is set within one or two minutes, if the RDS station has enough signal strength. · Switch on the radio with the ON/OFF button. · Search for an RDS station using the >> (forward) or << (backward) buttons. · Release the buttons when the symbol lights up steadily on the display (see 'Radio'). ­ The Auto-Time indicator ( ) flashes, indicating that the set is waiting for the time signal. ­ The indicator stops flashing when the time and day of the week is set. The quartz clock starts to run with the received time. · If the clock is not set after 3-4 minutes, try another RDS station. The clock time and day of the week are updated automatically each time the radio is switched on and when you tune to an RDS station, as long as the Auto Time function is enabled. · To enable and disable this function, the radio must be switched on. Manual tuning · Briefly press the << or >> button to tune in the corresponding direction in individual steps. · If you keep the button depressed, you can rapidly scan large frequency ranges. ­ When you release the button, AUTO TUNING is automatically switched to. · If you briefly press one of the << or >> buttons, manual tuning is switched to. 'Last Station Memory' function Your unit is provided with the function 'LAST STATION MEMORY', which means that the station that was playing when the set was switched off will be selected again when the unit is switched back on. 14 Display mode After tuning to an RDS station, the display indicates its frequency for 1. 5 seconds and the station name for 3. 5 seconds, and then it returns to normal time indication. · To display the frequency and the station name again, briefly press the << or >> button once. · To display the station name continuously, press the DISPLAY button twice within five seconds. · To return to normal time indication, press the DISPLAY button once more. GB Storing stations There are 10 memory locations available for storing stations. · Tune to the station you want to store . ­ The indication 'MEMORY' starts flashing on the display for 8 seconds. [. . . ] ­ The radio will automatically tune to the other station when this station starts broadcasting a traffic announcement. ­ During the EON traffic announcement the EON symbol on the display flashes and the volume will be increased. · When the announcement is over, the radio will return to the previous station. · To immediately switch back to the previous station, press the button.
