[. . . ] Slide the cover plate up the shaft and attach the flange of outer tube to the base using the nuts and bolts provided. Check nuts are fully tightened before replacing the cover plate. Unscrew the height adjustment knob, and pull up the inner tube to adjust the height, ensuring that the knob is fully tightened before proceeding. Position the fan head motor either side as shown in fig 2 and insert the tilt control bolt so that it passes through the square hole of the coupling and the lower hole of inner tube. Fully tighten the small screw that is already located in the coupling and then fit the knob onto the tilt control bolt and lightly tighten. Insert the locking screw through the top hole of the coupling, adjust the fan head to the desired position and firmly tighten screw and the tilt control. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Ensure rotary switch is in the off position (0) and then plug in. Adjust fan speed by moving rotary switch. To oscillate fan, press down on control knob at the top of the motor housing. To stop oscillation, pull up on the same knob. To change the angle of the fan, loosen large tilt control knob and smaller locking screw, adjust fan head to the desired position and retighten. Use the height adjustment knob to raise or lower the fan as detailed above. CLEANING Unplug fan and remove the front guard. Wipe blades with soft damp cloth, taking care not to alter the angle of the blades. If necessary, use a soft brush to remove dust from the guards. The motor bearings are permanently sealed and do not require additional lubrication. 4 Limited Warranty This item is warranted to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the original date of purchase under normal household use. Within the warranty period, we will replace the product. This warranty extends only to the original retail purchaser, and excludes any damage to the product resulting from accident or misuse. The product is not warranted when used in a commercial or business environment. The above warranty is complete and exclusive.
