[. . . ] · Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children, or by disabled persons. · DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, if motor fan fails to rotate, after the appliance malfunctions, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner. · DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. Return the appliance to the manufacturer for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair. [. . . ] To turn on the fan press one of the three speed buttons marked (1) low, (2) medium, or (3) high. To turn the fan off press the button marked (0) off. The speed is adjusted by pressing one of the three buttons for your desired level of cooling. To start and stop oscillation of the fan head, press the oscillating button. The timer can be set to switch the fan off after up to 120 minutes. To use the fan without the timer feature set the timer knob to "ON". If the timer knob is at "OFF", the fan will not work even when the speed buttons are depressed. Position mains lead in the centre channel of the rear base plate before lifting the front base plate and attach by sliding downwards. Turn the fan upside down (control panel touching the floor) and fix the body into the base and secure with the 2 screws. Place the mains lead through the cord channel (Fig. 2) to reduce movement of the power cord during use or transportation. Turn the fan right side up for operation. CLEANING FIRST UNPLUG THE CORD FROM THE SOCKET The fan can occasionally be wiped with a damp cloth. Never use abrasive or aggressive detergents, thus no scouring powder and no scouring sponges. The motor bearings are permanently sealed and do not require additional lubrication. NEVER IMMERSE THE FAN IN WATER OR OTHER LIQUID. SAFETY TIPS · This fan is intended for normal household use only. · Make sure the cord or extension cord is carefully positioned to avoid people tripping over it. · If the fan or cord is damaged, we advise you not to use the appliance. The cord shall be exclusivelyreplaced by an electrician or similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard.
