When finished typing in the recipient's name, press ENTER to confirm. · NOTE: You may automatically enter a recipient's name if you have previously entered the name into your Contacts list. In this case, simply toggle the insertion-point cursor on the TO: line using the UP/DOWN arrows. The E. CHAT unit will then search through your Contacts Chat-Name entries. When the one that you want appears, press ENTER. The Chat-Name that is displayed will then be accepted. The cursor will now go to the message area. You may now enter your message, up to 64 characters. · When you are ready to send your message, press the SEND key. (See above sections. ) 1) 2) Enter the Friend Seeker mode by pressing the FRIEND SEEKER icon key on the top row. (Looks like: ) You will now see: 4 Then press the SEND key. The unit will display: 5) The above message will be shown on the screen until the data has been collected from any units that are within range.
