Adjusting the exposure manually (EV)
Depending on the intensity of the ambient light, your photos may be too bright or dark. In these cases, you can adjust the exposure to get a better photo.
· Once you adjust the exposure, the setting will be stored automatically.
You may need to change the exposure value later to avoid overexposure or underexposure. · If you cannot decide on an appropriate exposure, select AEB (Auto Exposure Bracket). The camera will capture 3 consecutive photos, each with a different exposure: normal, underexposed, and overexposed. 68)

Compensating for backlighting (ACB)
When the light source is behind your subject or there is high contrast between your subject and the background, your subject is likely to appear dark in the photo. In this case, set the Auto Contrast Balance (ACB) option.

Glossary
Shutter speed Shutter speed refers to the amount of time it takes to open and close the shutter, and it is an important factor in the brightness of a photo, as it controls the amount of light which passes through the aperture before it reaches the image sensor. A fast shutter speed allows less time to let light in and the photo becomes darker and more easily freezes subjects in motion.
