Never allow the dust compartment to become so full that the dirt will block the passage to the compartment. [. . . ] 3) Be careful when removing the dust compartment not to spill dust. 4) Put the whole dust compartment into a poly bag and press the open button to empty dust into the poly bag. 5) Turn the dust compartment downwards, push the open button for the lid of the dust compartment, to release the dust. 6) Remove dust around the mesh filter and under mesh filter. Filter care (Fig. 18) It is recommended that the filter is cleaned once or twice a month to ensure optimum suction power: 1) Empty the dust compartment as described in the previous section. 2) Take off the filter supporter from the filter holder. 3) Wash the filter in tepid water or a neutral detergent. If detergent is used, rinse it out thoroughly. NOTE: Filter Supporter Filter Filter Holder 1) Don't wash in boiling water or in a washing machine. 2) Don't dry over a fire, in hot sunlight or in a tumble dryer. 3) If the filter is used when wet, suction will be impaired and the motor may be damaged. Remove the cyclone case by pushing the button with two fingers (the forefinger and the middle finger). Remove the dust around the inside mesh filter ( the mesh filter is washable). 3) Open the lid of the dust compartment and remove the mesh filter, you can wash the mesh filter. 4) Turn the lid of dust compartment to its original position, close it with a click and 5) Install the dust compartment into the cleaner body. NOTE: Fit each filter in position correctly, if not, dust will be spilled which will clog the filters resulting in a reduction of suction power. Remove dust from the Black filter, and install it to correct position. *HEPA clean filter (Fig. 20) 1) Open the front cover while taking off the hook right side of the cover. You can see HEPA clean filter and lower filter inside. Remove the HEPA clean filter by pulling the handle on the filter. The wire coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter L or coloured BROWN or RED. On no account connect either of these wires to the terminal marked E or by the earth symbol or coloured green or green and yellow.
